She worked as a public accountant before her husband and she moved to Tokyo in 2009 and then on to Hong Kong in 2011. “Since moving abroad I have been working at home to raise our three kids. The health of today’s children is compromised by a culture of convenience and increasingly sedentary activity. Eating fast food, watching TV and playing video games has become habitual while a nutritious diet and physical activity is on the downslide.
A recent report from the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences indicates that approximately 30.3% of children between the ages of 6 to 11 are overweight and that 15.3% are obese. For adolescents between the ages of 12 to 19, 30.4% are overweight and 15.5% are obese.

How Pilates Helped Me Be A Better Opera Singer

Joyce Wah-Sheung Wong has been living in Hong Kong for seven years since relocating back here from the US. A professional opera singer for over eight years, she is a regular freelance singer and often works with Opera Hong Kong. She is currently playing the part of Extra Nun in the cast of The Sound of Music, which is playing until 21st June, and will be singing the role of Despina in the upcoming performance of Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte on August 30th at City Hall.
