Born and raised in the Philippines, Anna began her ballet training at the age of six. In 2009, she joined Airdance Company – the Philippines’ pioneering contemporary dance company – where she achieved great success and recognition. In 2010, she performed “Due Date” choreographed by fellow company member Alfred Jan Mercado, which placed first in the New Choreographers Competition where she also won the award for Best Performer. In 2011, she competed in the Yokohama Dance Collection EX in Japan, where she was selected as a finalist from over 80 entries from five different countries. Later that year, Anna was invited to Hong Kong Disneyland as a performer and went on to participate as a parade dancer in Hong Kong Disneyland’s Festival of The Lion King.
In late 2015, Anna returned to the stage to perform “Via Mien – Travel Series 3,” a piece choreographed by Jed Amihan, which garnered recognition by critics both in the Philippines (C-Map 2015) and in Malaysia (Rimbun Dahan- Dancing in Place 2016). Anna then toured with the Airdance Company in Seoul, Korea to perform “Adarna” at the 2016 World Dance Alliance Asia Pacific Conference. Since 2017, she has been teaching ballet, contemporary dance and Xtend Barre in Hong Kong.
