Reina Sawai

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20″][vc_column_text]Originally from Japan, Reina Sawai began her ballet training at the age of four. She danced professionally as a soloist for over 14 years with the Portugal National Ballet, Vienna State Opera Ballet, Boston Ballet and most recently Hong Kong Ballet. She performed in many of the great classical and contemporary works of her time including ballets by George Balanchine, Rudolph Nureyev, Marius Petipa and worked closely with 21st century choreographers such as William Forsythe and Manuel Legris.
Reina has recently stepped down from the stage due to a prolonged injury but continues to utilize her knowledge of dance and physical well-being to personally explore and deliver fitness for all populations, through Xtend Barre and Pilates.

Reina is currently completing her 3rd Generation Classical Pilates certification with Alycea Ungaro’s REAL Pilates. Sessions with Reina are available in Japanese and English.
