Ever wondered what makes your trainer tick?  We have asked our instructors at Flex five simple questions about their work, life, passions and peeves.

Below Jan Ball, Pilates instructor at Flex since 2008, and avid runner and dragon boat paddler, tells all:

  1. Why do you train/teach/instruct at Flex Studio?

The instructors are professional and highly qualified, the receptionists are friendly and helpful, the facilities are fantastic and the clients are super.  All these things make Flex the number one studio to be at – I simply can’t imagine working anywhere else!

  1. What makes you good at your job?

My passion & enthusiasm for teaching and helping others achieve their goals.

  1. If there were one piece of advice you could give about Yoga, what would it be?

Patience and persistence – Rome wasn’t built in a day.   With regular practice, you will find your body yielding to the exercises, and you will experience renewed mental vigour and spiritual enhancement.   As Joseph Pilates wrote “Physical Fitness is the first requisite of happiness” .

  1. Sunrises or Sunsets? Why?

I’m a morning person but I have to choose sunsets; their beauty always make me feel very humbled & grateful for all the good things that I have in my life.

  1. Homebody or travel addict?

Travel addict.  There are so many amazing places to see on this plant and I want to experience as many of them as possible.
