Myotherapy
Myotherapists assess and treat issues arising from soft tissues structures such as muscles, tendons and fascia.
Myotherapy can be applied in the preventative, corrective and rehabilitative phases of therapy to restore and maintain normal function of soft tissue structures of the body. The techniques used depend on the nature of the problem, but usually a combination of techniques such as massage / manual manipulation, dry needling (similar to acupuncture), bandaging, TENS (electrical stimulation) and stretching are often used. Corrective exercises and home programs are usually prescribed in order to address the cause of the problem to avoid re-injury.

Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy uses a variety of techniques to help your muscles and joints work to their full potential. It can help repair damage by speeding up the healing process and reducing pain and stiffness. Physiotherapists also have an important role in rehabilitation, for example, helping people who have had strokes to relearn basic movements. However, physiotherapists don’t just offer treatment; their advice can help you prevent problems from returning or even from happening in the first place. Virtually any condition that affects your muscles, joints, or nerves can be helped by physiotherapy.
