Flex Yoga aims to harmonize and strengthen both body and mind.
Hatha Yoga is perhaps the path of yoga which is the most popular branch of yoga. This branch of yoga uses physical poses (asanas), breathing techniques or (pranayama), and meditation (dyana) to achieve better health, as well as spirituality. There are over 8 million documented Hatha yoga postures, with hundreds of variations, which work to make the spine supple and to promote circulation in all the organs, glands, and tissues. Hatha yoga strengthens the body through holding postures for a longer compared to a flow class.
This 75-minute class is designed to help remove the impurities that prevent us from realizing optimal health. These impurities may be found in the air we breathe, food we consume, and negative thoughts that cloud our emotions. Practiced for centuries, Detox Flow combines a sequence of Vinyasa flow asanas designed to stimulate the lymphatic, digestive and circulatory system by opening, compressing and twisting internal organs. Emphasis is also placed on deep and effective breathing, and alignment.
‘Vinyasa’: a flowing sequence of specific asanas (yoga postures) placed in a special way and coordinated with the breath. A deep and sweaty flow class that will stimulate your mind, body, and spirit, leaving you feeling more balanced and connected. Expect traditional and creative sun salutations. Feel the connection, your heart and hips will open and explore your boundaries. Poses will be broken down before progressing so that all levels can move, play and breathe together
Dynamic Vinyasa weaves anatomy with alignment-based hatha yoga, enabling practitioners to move into greater states of body awareness and consciousness. Using a spiritual approach to anatomy, the flow fuses principles of alignment and Body Mind Centering (BMC™); the practice initiates asana flow from different body systems: skeletal, organ, endocrine, muscular, developmental, nervous system, pranayama, meditation, and philosophical study to support embodiment practices. Playful and nurturing, these classes are a sensory feast, blending music, breath, body and mind.
Best of both worlds, half flow and restorative yoga in one class. Get your workout in as well as replenish and relax the mind and body. Return to your day with a calm mind and energized body. The perfect lunchtime practice!
